Fallout WizBlades: The Ultimate Custom Art Blades for Fallout Pinball

Fallout is one of those pinball machines that was made for Custom Pinball Art.

Designed by Keith Elwin, the same designer behind some of the most exciting modern Stern machines, Fallout already looks like a game with an enormous amount of personality. From Iron Maiden and Jurassic Park to Godzilla, JAWS and King Kong, Elwin has developed a reputation for creating machines that feel different from anything else on the market. And Fallout looks like another very strong addition to that catalogue. The playfield is packed with atmosphere, characters, colour and detail, but there is one enormous area around the playfield that can still be transformed: the inside of the cabinet.

That is exactly where our Fallout WizBlades come in.

Also known as Art Blades, Game Blades, Pin Blades, Pinblades, Side Blades, Side Art, Inside Art Decals, Inside Decals, Cabinet Side Decals and other types of Cabinet Decals, these custom pinball graphics extend the artwork of the game into the cabinet itself.

But for us, this isn't simply about covering an empty space.

It is about creating a completely new piece of Fallout Custom Art.

One Fallout Design, Two Different WizBlades

For Fallout, we created two main versions of our Fallout EL Cut WizBlades and Fallout Full Cut WizBlades.

The EL Cut is designed for machines with Expression Lighting. It leaves the lighting area and mounting screws visible, allowing the factory lighting to remain part of the design.

The Full Cut takes the artwork across the entire side area, all the way to the lockdown bar. It creates one continuous piece of Fallout Custom Art inside the cabinet and is the option for owners who want to cover the whole area.

Both are precision cut specifically for the machine, so there is no trimming required. Peel, position and install.

The Wasteland Comes Inside the Cabinet

The artwork itself was designed to feel like a huge action scene unfolding inside the Fallout cabinet.

On one side, four Brotherhood of Steel knights in power armor face a Deathclaw, creating the central confrontation of the illustration. The armour gives the scene an incredible visual impact, while one of the knights unleashes a huge weapon into the chaos.

Behind them, the Wasteland stretches into the distance.

There is an abandoned Red Rocket station, helicopters in the sky, the Brotherhood airship and a ruined landscape disappearing into the post-apocalyptic horizon. Closer to the apron, you can even see a hint of New Vegas in the distance.

This is what we mean when we talk about Custom Art Blades.

It isn't just a decal.

It is a completely new piece of artwork designed specifically for the inside of a pinball cabinet.

A Different Story on the Other Side

The opposite side continues the story with the three main characters from the Fallout television series alongside the dog, all presented in dramatic poses.

Behind them, the Wasteland continues with ruins, aircraft and airships disappearing into the distance.

We deliberately gave the background that characteristic greenish post-apocalyptic atmosphere before gradually transitioning towards blue further back.

That transition is important because it creates a visual match with the blue sky already present towards the back of the Fallout pinball machine.

The result is that the Side Art doesn't feel like something simply stuck onto the cabinet.

It feels like it belongs there.

And Then There Is Vault 33

Closer to the apron, another important detail appears: the Vault 33 door.

Vault 33 is one of the most recognisable elements of the Fallout television series, and bringing that visual reference into the Cabinet Side Art gives the illustration another layer of storytelling.

It means you can look at the artwork from close up and keep discovering details, while from a distance the entire composition still works as one dramatic scene.

That is exactly what we want from a good Pinball Art Mod.

Fallout WizBlades in Holographic

We also created both versions in a holographic finish.

The Fallout EL Cut Holographic WizBlades and Fallout Full Cut Holographic WizBlades use a metallic holographic background that reacts beautifully with the machine's lighting.

The characters themselves remain in their normal full colour.

Only the background has the holographic effect.

That distinction is important because it keeps the characters strong and readable while adding depth and movement to everything behind them. As the light changes, the Wasteland seems to move.

It is a completely different visual experience from standard Cabinet Decals.

Why These Are More Than Just Side Blades

There are plenty of names for this type of pinball upgrade: Art Blades, Game Blades, Pin Blades, Side Blades, Pinball Blades, Inner Art, Inside Art, Cabinet Decals, Sideboard Decals and more.

Whatever you call them, the basic idea is the same: take the artwork beyond the playfield.

But great Custom Pinball Art can do much more than fill an empty space.

With Fallout, we wanted the artwork to create a story.

The Deathclaw battle.

The Brotherhood knights.

The Red Rocket.

The aircraft.

The ruined Wasteland.

New Vegas.

Vault 33.

The green post-apocalyptic sky becoming blue in the distance.

Every part was designed to make the inside of the cabinet feel like another scene from the Fallout universe.

Made to Fit Fallout Perfectly

Every Fallout WizBlade set is precision pre-cut for the machine, so the artwork follows the cabinet perfectly without the need to trim the decals during installation.

The thick laminated material also adds protection to the cabinet sides, helping protect the area from scratches and wear while the playfield is being raised or lowered.

So while the main reason to install these Fallout Art Blades is obviously the artwork, they also add a practical protective layer.

Most importantly, though, they make a huge difference every time you open the machine.

Instead of looking into a black or empty cabinet wall, you suddenly find yourself looking into the Fallout Wasteland.

And that is exactly what we wanted.
