Game of Thrones is a machine with a lot going for it.
Designed by Steve Ritchie, it combines a fast-flowing layout with a huge licence, plenty of action and one of the most recognisable visual worlds in modern pinball. It's quick, demanding and full of memorable shots, which makes a few carefully chosen mods especially effective.
Bring Westeros Into the Cabinet
The inside walls of the cabinet are a huge visual area that can easily get overlooked.
That's where WizBlades really change the machine.
We have designs for the Pro and LE, while the Premium gets a special Winter version. Once installed, the artwork continues around the playfield and gives the game a much stronger sense of depth.
The machine suddenly feels bigger and more immersive instead of ending at two plain cabinet walls.

Give the Flippers Some Character
WizBats are a much smaller upgrade, but they're right in the middle of the action.
Because you see them during every game, adding Game of Thrones artwork to the flippers is an easy way to bring more of the theme into the actual gameplay.
It's a subtle detail, but those little details add up.

Extend the Artwork Onto the Apron
The apron is another area where the different Game of Thrones models really benefit from having their own designs.
For the Pro, we have removable decal WizAprons, while the Premium and LE use magnetic WizAprons designed specifically for those versions.
The artwork continues the theme below the playfield and makes the lower section feel much more connected to the rest of the machine.
You can see the available versions in the complete Game of Thrones Pinball Mods collection.

Give the Coin Door a Proper Makeover
The coin door is a large, isolated section right in the middle of the cabinet.
WizDoors turn it into another part of the artwork instead of leaving a big plain area between the two sides of the machine.

Finish the Backbox
The hinges are easy to ignore until you've customised everything else.
Then they suddenly stand out.
The Premium WizWings are a great finishing detail, carrying the artwork around the backbox and making the whole cabinet feel more complete without adding anything overwhelming.

A Fast Machine That Benefits From Good Artwork
Game of Thrones is already a very visual machine, so the goal isn't to cover it in modifications.
It's about extending the original design into the areas that feel disconnected.
WizBlades add depth, WizBats bring the theme into the flippers, WizAprons continue the artwork below the playfield, while WizDoors and WizWings finish the cabinet.
And if you're interested in the designer behind the machine, our Steve Ritchie: The King of Flow Who Changed Pinball Forever article is worth reading. Game of Thrones is a great example of Ritchie's trademark fast-flowing style.
It's also no coincidence that his games often appear in discussions about difficult, fast modern pinball. Our Hardest Modern Pinball Machines Ever Made article includes several examples of his particularly demanding designs.
