Best Aerosmith Pinball Mods

Aerosmith may not be the first Stern machine that comes to mind when talking about gameplay, but visually, it has plenty going for it.

The rock theme, colourful artwork and larger-than-life personality make it a fun machine to customise. And for this particular game, there's something especially interesting about the artwork: all of our Aerosmith designs are hand-drawn.

Here are some of our favourite ways to customise it.

Turn the Cabinet Into a Rock Show

The inside of the cabinet is the perfect place to start.

Our WizBlades use completely hand-drawn Aerosmith artwork to extend the visual style from the playfield into the cabinet. The designs are available for the Pro, Premium and LE, giving each version its own take on the theme.

It's one of those changes you notice every time you play.

Give the Speaker Panel Some Attitude

The speaker panel is a large visual area, so leaving it dark can make the front of the machine feel incomplete.

Premium WizPanels fill that space with more of the hand-drawn Aerosmith artwork. The Pro and LE versions also look great and help connect the backbox with the rest of the cabinet.

Add More Rock 'n' Roll to the Playfield

The apron is a small detail, but it's right in front of you during every game.

LE WizAprons add another piece of the Aerosmith artwork to this otherwise functional area. It's a subtle upgrade that becomes particularly effective when combined with the larger cabinet artwork.

Don't Forget the Coin Door

Once the cabinet and speaker panel have been customised, the original coin door can suddenly stand out.

A set of Pro WizDoors adds more artwork to the front of the machine and helps tie the whole design together.

It's another opportunity to keep the hand-drawn style running across the cabinet without going overboard.

Finish the Backbox

The hinges are easy to overlook, but they're a great place for a final visual detail.

We particularly like Premium WizWings on the Premium model. They add artwork around the hinge plates and help carry the theme around the sides of the backbox.

A Little More Personality Goes a Long Way

Aerosmith doesn't need dozens of modifications to look different.

The hand-drawn artwork is really what brings the whole combination together. Instead of simply adding photographs of the band, the designs give the machine its own illustrated rock-and-roll identity.
