AC/DC Remastered Pinball Mods Coming Soon: Get Ready to Rock!

The wait is over. Stern Pinball has officially revealed AC/DC Remastered, bringing one of the most iconic music-themed pinball machines back with updated technology, new gameplay features and even more rock-and-roll energy.
And here at Wizard Mod, we've been working on something of our own.
We've been developing our AC/DC Remastered Pinball Mods since the early rumours started circulating, and we're now putting the finishing touches on our new designs. We can't show you the artwork just yet, but we're confident you'll love what we've been creating.
As always, we're pushing ourselves to make our artwork better with every new release. Every new machine gives us an opportunity to refine our designs, explore new ideas and create custom artwork that feels like a natural part of the game. AC/DC deserves nothing less.
A Rock Legend Returns to the Playfield
The original AC/DC, designed by Steve Ritchie and released by Stern in 2012, remains one of the great music-themed pinball machines. Its fast-flowing layout, spectacular cannon, iconic bell and soundtrack packed with legendary rock anthems combine to create an experience that feels like playing inside an AC/DC concert.
It is also a machine built around choices. Players can select songs, pursue different objectives and decide how aggressively to approach scoring opportunities. The combination of music, mechanical features and fast gameplay gives the original a personality that has kept it popular with collectors for years.
You can explore our existing AC/DC Pinball Mods while we prepare the new collection.
The Remastered edition has a difficult job: preserve everything that made the original special while introducing enough improvements to make the return worthwhile. From the announced features, Stern has clearly taken that challenge seriously.

What's New in AC/DC Remastered?
The new edition brings the classic into the modern era with Stern's SPIKE 3 platform and several important mechanical and software updates.
The biggest gameplay change is a redesigned lower playfield, featuring a captive ball, two flippers, two targets and a loop. This gives players a new area to explore and adds another dimension to a layout that was already known for its distinctive flow.
Several of the original machine's signature features have also received attention. The ball-firing cannon has been re-engineered with a new custom-moulded sculpt, while the Rock N Roll Train diverter now features an AC/DC locomotive. The swinging Hells Bells bash toy has been redesigned, and a new TNT detonator box with an animated plunger adds another physical element to the action.
These aren't just cosmetic changes. The cannon, train and bell are among the features that give the original its character, so updating them while retaining their familiar roles is an interesting approach.
Stern has also upgraded the ramp entrances with stainless steel and illuminated, laser-cut AC/DC logos. A spinning target has been added to the right loop, and new RGB playfield lighting brings more colour and movement to the game.
Taken together, these refinements give the Remastered edition a more contemporary presentation without abandoning the visual identity of the original.
Eight More Songs. Even More Rock and Roll.
Of course, a machine based on AC/DC would never be complete without its music.
The Remastered edition adds eight AC/DC songs to the original soundtrack, including six new selectable song modes. That is a particularly welcome addition because music selection has always been an important part of the game's strategic appeal.
Choosing a song isn't simply about hearing your favourite track. It is also part of how players approach the game, adding personality and variety to repeated sessions.
The updated back panel features a larger, illuminated song titleboard, while Stern's 18.5-inch high-definition display brings live concert footage and classic music videos into the experience.
Combined with the new lighting and mechanical updates, these additions should help the machine feel even more like a rock concert under glass.
The software has also been updated with new wizard modes and three timed modes: Oi Mania, Thunder Ramps and High Voltage. These give experienced players more objectives to pursue and provide additional reasons to return to the machine.
A New Machine Deserves New Artwork
With so many visual details and mechanical features, AC/DC Remastered gives us plenty of inspiration for custom artwork.
At Wizard Mod, we want our designs to complement the machine rather than simply add graphics for the sake of it. The best pinball mods feel like they belong there, extending the personality of the original artwork while giving collectors a way to make their machines more individual.
That is the approach we're taking with AC/DC Remastered. We've been refining our designs for some time, looking at how the new edition's visual identity can inspire artwork that feels distinctive and cohesive.
We are always looking for ways to improve the quality of our work, and every new release is an opportunity to push things a little further. We want this collection to be another example of the attention to detail that defines Wizard Mod.
