Installing WizBlades the Easy Way

Whether you call them Art Blades, Side Blades, Inner Art Blades, PinBlades, Cabinet Side Decals, Inside Cabinet Decals, Cabinet Art, or Pinball Side Decals, the installation process is much simpler than many first-time collectors expect.

At Wizard Mod, our WizBlades are designed so that almost anyone can install them at home without removing the playfield or using complicated installation techniques.

If you're looking for premium custom artwork, explore our WizBlades Pinball Mods Collection.

Do You Need the Wet Method?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that every decal should be installed using the wet method.

That's simply not true.

The wet method is a technique used by experienced installers who know exactly how to work with water-based application methods. If done incorrectly, the adhesive may appear not to stick, leading many people to think something has gone wrong when, in reality, the decal simply hasn't had time to bond properly.

WizBlades are designed to be installed dry.

For almost every collector, the dry method is easier, faster and produces excellent results.

Step 1 – Clean the Cabinet

Before installing your WizBlades, clean the inside walls of the cabinet alongside the playfield.

Use only a clean, dry cloth.

Do not use water.

Do not use cleaning products.

Do not use chemicals.

A clean, dry surface gives the adhesive the best possible contact.

The good news?

There's no need to remove the playfield.

Installation is done with the playfield in place.

Step 2 – Test the Position

Before removing any backing paper, place each WizBlade inside the cabinet to see exactly where it will sit.

This dry test lets you become familiar with the positioning before anything becomes adhesive.

Taking a minute here makes the rest of the installation much easier.

Step 3 – Peel Slowly

Begin peeling away a small section of the backing paper.

Don't remove it all at once.

Instead, expose only a small area of adhesive and begin positioning the artwork.

Once you're happy with that section, continue removing a little more backing paper and work progressively along the cabinet.

Taking your time is the easiest way to achieve a perfect finish.

Step 4 – Reposition if Necessary

One of the biggest advantages of WizBlades is that they use premium removable adhesive.

If something isn't perfectly aligned, simply lift the artwork and reposition it.

You can repeat this process several times during installation without damaging the decal.

After approximately one or two days, the adhesive reaches its full strength, creating a secure long-term bond.

Step 5 – Apply Firm Pressure

Once everything is perfectly aligned, press firmly across the entire artwork.

This final pressure helps ensure complete contact between the adhesive and the cabinet surface.

That's it.

Your machine now has a completely transformed interior.

Built for Real Gameplay

WizBlades aren't ordinary decals.

Each one features a thick protective laminate designed to withstand years of gameplay, including occasional airballs or light contact with the playfield during maintenance.

The artwork remains vibrant while adding a premium finish that complements the original machine design.
